Okay, so, this project is getting real! My diary entry today is all about something HUGE: the planning stages for converting a Ro Pax ferry into a hospital ship. Seriously, how cool is that?! It sounds like something out of a movie, but it’s actually happening, and being even a small part of the early planning is incredibly inspiring.
Thinking about taking something built for transporting cars and people and transforming it into a floating medical center… it’s a massive undertaking, obviously. There are a million things to consider. Where do the operating rooms go? How do you set up sterile environments on a ship? What about power and water supply on such a scale? It’s a puzzle with a thousand pieces.
But honestly, it’s also incredibly motivating. Imagining this ferry, which has probably seen countless holidaymakers and truck drivers, being given a whole new life dedicated to healing and helping people in need… that’s powerful stuff. It feels like we’re part of something that could genuinely make a difference in the world. It’s a reminder that even the most complex challenges can be tackled with a lot of planning, ingenuity, and a whole lot of heart. Feeling pretty excited about what comes next!
