About Camp Hope

Camp Hope is a community‑based program by Point of Difference that creates safe, supportive, and inclusive environments for young people. The camp is designed to offer participants time away from everyday pressures, providing opportunities for learning, connection, reflection, and personal growth.

Camp Hope combines structured activities, community experience, and clear safeguarding standards to ensure that all participants feel protected, respected, and valued.


Purpose of Camp Hope

The purpose of Camp Hope is to:

  • provide a safe and welcoming space for young people
  • strengthen resilience, self‑confidence, and social skills
  • promote respect, diversity, and inclusion
  • encourage positive peer interaction and community building
  • offer meaningful experiences grounded in responsibility and care

Camp Hope is non‑commercial, non‑political, and non‑sexualized. The focus is on well‑being, education, and human dignity.


Target Group

Camp Hope is designed for:

  • children and adolescents (age groups defined per camp)
  • young people from diverse backgrounds
  • LGBTQI youth and allies, within an inclusive and respectful setting

Participation is voluntary and subject to clearly defined eligibility, safeguarding, and supervision criteria.


Activities & Program Structure

Camp Hope offers a balanced and age‑appropriate program that may include:

  • educational workshops and group discussions
  • creative and cultural activities
  • team‑based outdoor and recreational programs
  • reflection and dialogue sessions
  • supervised community activities

All activities are carefully planned to be inclusive, respectful, and suitable for the age group.

Camp Hope operates under:

  • zero tolerance for bullying, discrimination, harassment, or abuse
  • structured supervision by trained professionals
  • transparent reporting and response procedures

Sexualized content, behavior, or activities are strictly prohibited.


Team & Supervision

Camp Hope is staffed by:

  • trained youth workers
  • qualified facilitators and supervisors
  • experienced volunteers (role‑specific and vetted)

All staff and volunteers receive appropriate training and are required to follow Point of Difference’s ethical and safeguarding standards.
