Overview

The Pride Event organized by Point of Difference is an inclusive, educational, and community‑focused event designed to support young people, including LGBTQI youth, in a safe, respectful, and protected environment.

The event promotes values of respect, diversity, equality, and human dignity, and is carefully structured to be age‑appropriate, non‑sexualized, and aligned with safeguarding standards.


Purpose of the Pride Event

The purpose of the Pride Event is to:

  • create a safe space where young people feel accepted and respected
  • promote understanding, tolerance, and inclusion
  • support personal confidence and social connection
  • provide educational opportunities around diversity and human rights
  • counter discrimination, bullying, and exclusion

The event is not political, commercial, or sexual in nature. It is values‑based and focused on well‑being, education, and community.


Target Group

The Pride Event is designed for:

  • young people and adolescents (age ranges defined per event)
  • LGBTQI youth and allies
  • youth groups, schools, and community organizations

Participation is voluntary and subject to clearly defined safeguarding rules.


Event Format & Activities

Depending on location and context, Pride Events may include:

All activities are selected and moderated to ensure they are appropriate, inclusive, and respectful.


Safeguarding & Child Protection

The safety of all participants is a top priority.

The Pride Event follows:

  • strict safeguarding and child‑protection policies
  • a clear Code of Conduct for staff, volunteers, and participants
  • zero‑tolerance for bullying, harassment, abuse, or discrimination
  • qualified supervision by trained personnel
  • controlled access and clear reporting structures

Sexualized content or behavior is strictly prohibited.
